Gargo and Tiny Dancer

Dustin's Mom came to visit for the weekend. It is always fun to have Gargo stay with us. The kids have so much fun with her. One of their favorite games is Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Jocelyn had her first dance recital and she did SO good! She was the only one that new all the steps! She is a good little dancer. She was VERY VERY done by the end of the recital. She did not want to take pictures.

I am yelling at Jocelyn to say cheese and she is 5 seconds away from running off the stage. Not so pretty when I yell. Elizabeth, Allie and Renae look way cute!

Dustin and I went out with some friends (THANKS MAX AND HEIDI, WE HAD FUN!) and Jocelyn had fun getting ready with me. She told me she was excited to be 12 so she could wear makeup and also to be 16 so she could drive. Great.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

yard work

It doesn't feel like Christmas time and this post proves it. It feels like fall. We had a fun time raking leaves on the 16th of December. I love living in Vegas in the winter!! I told her to go get some work clothes on so we could work in the yard. Gotta love it.

Gingerbread House

The kids and I thought we would try to make a Gingerbread house ourselves this year. Not an easy task, but it was a lot of fun!

LE REVE

Dustin and I went to the show Le Reve last Monday. It was probably my least favorite, but still very good. It is so fun to be able to go to a show on a Monday night. One of the perks of living in Vegas.

Rock 'n' Roll LAS VEGAS Half Marathon

I did it!!! I am still giddy about my little Half Marathon. I had SO much fun. I am not the best runner, but I was just excited to finish. I ran it in 2 hours 27 minutes. (Don't make fun Trent!:)) I was 44% in my age group. I felt like I could have gone faster, but with it being my first race I think it is a pretty good time. I sprinted the last mile, and I felt really good at the end. At the start of the race I couldn't believe how many people were racing!! 27,000 runners. The first three miles I could not go very fast because of all of the people. They had a band playing every few miles so I didn't even run with music. So awesome. At about mile eight my knees started hurting, but I made it SO much farther than I thought I would before they started to bug me. Mile nine was ROUGH, but I got my second wind and started my end of the race pace. It was one of the coolest, funnest, greatest things I have EVER done!

That is not my time, it was the start of the race time. The race started at 6:15 and I didn't cross the start line until 6:45ish.

This race was to benefit the CROHN'S & COLITIS FOUNDATION. My mother in-law and brother in-law both have Crohn's so it was really great to run in their honor. LOVE YOU GARGO AND SKINNY DAD!!!

SANTA TRAIN

We went to Boulder City again this year to ride the Santa Train. The kids love to see Santa. I love this picture of Kai. He was so excited to see Popojijo!

Thanksgiving

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend with the McQuivey's in Salt Lake. Always a great time. Mar and I started off the weekend with a 5k Turkey Leg. Tons of fun even though I froze.Grandpa went Pheasant Hunting and brought home a bunch of feathers. Kyler thought he was hilarious tickling Papa with the feathers. Cute boy.

Our kids had never seen the lights on Temple Square so we thought we would go check them out. They loved them.

The kids love watching movies in the theater room at Ross and Mar's.

Hot tubbing is a must when we go to Papa and Gargo's even if I forget the kids suits.

We went to the Kangaroo Zoo. The kids LOVED every second.
